Success Stories

TFSS ran an Aboriginal Cultural Tour as a school holiday activity with Len Waters for some children. Len spoke about Aboriginal meeting places and the paintings at Boundary Rock. During the tour the children got to do art work using ochre. The tour concluded at Marsupial park with information about native animals. The children thoroughly enjoyed the day.

It has been nice to observe that a family, where both mum and child are very shy and quiet, has started to come out of their ‘shell’. They are both starting to interact with others. The parent has started to talk to other parents and contribute in discussions, and the child has been interacting with other children as they are developing friendships, through play.
