An up-to-date Will is the only way to make sure that after you pass away, your wishes are carried out. 

How do I leave a gift in my will?

You can leave a gift in a number of ways:

• Specific Bequest: A specific sum of money, specific assets such as property, shares, life insurance or other assets. 
• Specified Portion: A specified portion of your entire estate. 
• Residuary Bequest: A specified portion or the entirety of the remained of your estate after all of your other wishes have been carried out. 

How do I update my will? 

We recommend that you seek independent legal advice before making or changing your Will. We suggest using the below sentence:

I, [insert name here], give and bequeath free of all duties and taxes:

• The residue of my estate, or  
• XX% of my whole estate, or  
• XX% of the residue, or  
• The specific sum of $XX
